30 May Early Intervention Article Highlights Need for Legislation
Early intervention has always been essential in Social Care and even more so in our current times. The Guardian has recently highlighted a care review where ministers are urged to put a legislation forward to reform the system stating that our childcare services are “too rigid, remote, stuck in crisis mode and disconnected”. It then goes on to explain how services like early intervention could lead to thousands of fewer children ending up in care.
We understand the importance of early intervention at Freedom and can offer the service once we receive a referral from either a local authority or private individual. We have experience working with a variety of families with children of all ages.
Our Family Support Team are trained to the highest standard and are of course vetted. They come from varied backgrounds and have experience with many complex families from different circumstances. We have been involved in many diverse situations and can offer intervention support with everything from boundaries to budgeting to assisting with mental health and a lot more.
In order to make evidence-based decisions we track everything minute to minute so we can clearly see the challenges each family is facing. This in turn helps us to monitor the progress and make changes accordingly.
