20 Jun Freedom’s new Family Coaching service
The last few years have been difficult for most people. Coronavirus has had a huge impact on the world, making us all go through a lot but thankfully a majority of us have come out the other end.
As a parent, we know you have done an amazing job in staying strong for your children, helping them navigate through the pandemic when information was limited and the end wasn’t in sight. You supported them through the isolation, home-schooling, fear and uncertainty but they still missed out on so much. They missed out on milestone and social events such as; celebrating birthdays, graduating, proms, fresher weeks, first days of school and making friends.
It is therefore understandable that your children can be feeling angry, resentful or anxious, just because life is back to “normal” does not mean they get these key life moments back.
Your relationship with your children changes all the time, you will not treat them the same way as you did when they were six or seven. They are growing emotionally as well as physically and you will need to adapt how you communicate with them.
When you consider both these points you can understand why a lot of teenagers and chidlren are angry and why families are struggling to get along.
At Freedom Care we have a solution. We have listened to our friends and families that are going through similar situations and have decided to dedicate one room in our new office to provide a family coaching service. These sessions will take place at Holbury near Hythe where there is free parking and refreshments. This is not counselling, but more of a support service in a safe, neutral and comfortable environment. We want to listen to all parties and help guide parents into becoming a source of strength for your children. We can cover off topics like Family dynamics, internet safety, managing difficult behaviours, self-care and well being and much more.
We have experienced it all over the years, and our adult and children’s social care service has given us the insight and qualifications to be a great source of information and support. Our aim is to send you away feeling empowered with tools/tasks that will help strengthen your family unit. Every family is unique, so our regular sessions will allow for follow up to ensure you’re feeling supported along the journey. If you would like to find out more about this service then please email us through admin@freedomchildcare.com.
