Blue Monday Support

Blue Monday Support

Blue Monday has come and gone, traditionally the third Monday in January is the day most people feel at their lowest. This can be because; for some the festive season is officially over, some people have extended annual leave and are returning to work, for others the toll of dark evenings and grotty weather has simply become too much.

At Freedom Care we have made large strides over recent years to support and protect our employees. Working in the ‘care’ industry we’ve always been privy to how fragile mental health can be, so whether it’s the effect of the Pandemic, working from home alone or simply the concern of turning on the evening news, at Freedom we’ve taken proactive steps.

We’ve been made aware of two resources offered by the Virtual College that can alleviate some of the concerns, worries and anxieties people are feeling at this time of year:

  1. Mental Health and Wellbeing Pack click here

This pack (£15) offers a wide range of resources including course modules, videos and articles. The topics explored include growth mindset, understanding mental health and equipping people with the techniques to support mental health.

  1. Guide to Mental Health and Wellbeing click here

This guide (free) presents an array of different approached and techniques, gathered from interviews with numerous people. This guide is designed to provide comfort and insight and worth downloading.

Our head office team would like to invite you to explore these resources and if any particular help or support can be offered please do get in touch,
