Action for Children

Little Oaks Children’s Centre has been using Freedom Childcare for the Spring Term and throughout our time of using the services the staff have always been on time, professional and put the children of the Creches at the heart of their services.

The staff are reliable and respond to any last minute changes, being totally flexible to meet our requirements. The quality of the staff is excellent and we have found they work well with the children we have in our creche. We would definitely recommend Freedom Childcare to other Children Centre’s and services.

We found ourselves in a difficult position recently when one of our Key-Worker staff left to work elsewhere. After advertising for the position we sat back and waited for the replies. Two arrived but neither of the applicants could work on one of the days that was vital to us. We were getting worried as the member of staff that was leaving was going at half term and we had less than two weeks to find someone.

One afternoon I opened the post and there was this answer to a prayer, Freedom Childcare services offering cover for sickness, training, holidays etc. and Un-filled vacancies! We telephoned and Fran from Freedom started by searching her files for a suitable candidate to help us out, even though it may only be temporary. She came up with a young lady who agreed to come in for a day and work with the member of staff who was leaving and to see if she liked us enough to stay for a period of five weeks at least. She came, she liked us, we liked her and she has said she would like a permanent job, She totally fits with us and has proved a real God send.

The whole procedure was efficient, quick, informative and very professional dealt with. In future if we find ourselves in a similar situation, we will not bother with advertising, we’ll be straight on the phone to Freedom Childcare.

Brambles

I’d like to thank you for supporting us through what was a very busy time in October and November. I was extremely reassured that when I picked up the phone to find supply you were able to find someone even at short notice (which was often the case!). A big thank you to Nadine who we probably drive mad with our phone calls! She is always so pleasant and helpful and has managed to find us cover at a couple of hours notice many times.

The staff you send us have always been very hardworking team players. They quickly pick up the routine and are good practitioners who can facilitate activities as needed. They have completed the various cleaning jobs and prepared teas – we would never have managed at that time without them. Your staff haven’t looked out of place and even if here for a short while they have looked like actual members of the team. I thank you for sending us Penny who is now employed here with us. She is doing a marvellous job and is now helping us to develop the environment and routines in our new baby unit.

Windmills Pre-School

We have used reg Freedom Childcare services regularly over the last two months as extra cover twice a week while we arrange interviews and appointment of extra staff during our busy period. As supervisor, I have been extremely impressed with the quality of staff that the agency has provided. The girls were able to work under their own initiative, were punctual, smart and polite and had an excellent relationship with the children. For a first dat in a new environment they settled extremely well, and proved how adaptable and useful the agency could be.

I will have no hesitation in future, of telephoning the Childcare service to cover sickness/holidays etc. Also I have to comment on the efficient manner in which the organisation of the staffing occurred.
