Work With Freedom Childcare

Flexible, meaningful childcare opportunities with a team that values you

At Freedom Childcare, we are always looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic people who want to make a positive difference to children and families.
We provide a wide range of childcare services, including nursery support, creches, SEN nanny support, holiday provision, family support and flexible childcare packages. Every role is different, but the heart of the work is the same: building trusted relationships, creating safe and nurturing environments, and helping children feel secure, understood and supported.
Whether you are looking for regular work, additional hours, casual shifts, student experience, term-time opportunities, holiday work or a longer-term career in childcare, we would love to hear from you.

Why work with Freedom?

Freedom is a relationship-first organisation. We believe that good care and support starts with good relationships — with the children and families we support, and with the staff who make that support possible.
We value our team and want people to feel part of something meaningful. We offer supportive management, clear communication, training, induction and a culture where staff are trusted, respected and encouraged to grow.
Working with Freedom can offer:
  • Flexible work that can fit around study, family life or other commitments
  • Opportunities for casual, part-time, regular or permanent work
  • Higher-than-normal rates of pay for many roles
  • Experience across a diverse range of childcare and family support services
  • Opportunities to work with children with additional needs and learning differences
  • Supportive managers who understand the work
  • A relationship-first culture
  • Recognition through retention and long-service awards
  • Access to staff benefits where applicable
  • The chance to be part of a growing organisation with strong values

Opportunities within Freedom Childcare

We regularly look for people interested in:
  • Nursery work
  • Crèche work
  • SEN nanny roles
  • School holiday support
  • Term-time childcare
  • Family support
  • After-school support
  • Weekend support
  • Bank and casual childcare work
  • Community-based childcare support
  • Support for children with autism, ADHD, learning differences or additional needs
You may already have childcare experience, or you may be studying childcare, early years, education, social work, psychology, health and social care or another related subject.
We are particularly interested in hearing from students who want to gain practical experience across a wide range of services. Freedom can offer opportunities to build confidence, develop skills and understand different areas of work with children, young people and families.

More than one route

Freedom Childcare is part of the wider Freedom Group. This means there may also be opportunities to work across other areas of the organisation, including support work, respite, mentoring, Family Time, education support and community-based services.
Some people join us for childcare work and later discover other areas of the organisation that interest them. Others work across more than one department, building a wider range of skills and experience.
If you are interested in both childcare and support/education work, you can tell us this when you register your interest.

Current vacancies

We advertise our current vacancies centrally, so that all live roles can be viewed in one place.

Register your interest

You do not need to wait for the perfect vacancy to be advertised.
If you like the sound of working with Freedom but do not see the right role today, you can register your interest in future opportunities.
This allows you to tell us:
  • What type of work you are interested in
  • Where you are based
  • What availability you could offer now
  • Whether you are looking for casual, flexible or additional work
  • Whether you are looking for a regular or permanent role in the future
  • What experience, qualifications or studies you have
  • Whether you are interested in working across more than one part of Freedom
With your consent, we can then contact you about suitable future opportunities.

A place to grow

Freedom is continuing to grow, and recruitment is a key part of that growth. We are looking for people who are reliable, caring, flexible and committed to making a difference.
If you want work that is meaningful, varied and built around relationships, Freedom Childcare could be the right place for you.
